Looking for ways to earn FREE airline miles without flying or signing up for a new credit card? There is nothing better than paying for a flight in with airline miles, basically making your entire trip free.

I’ll be describing the easiest ways I personally earn free airline miles and giving you all the links to get started. The following programs are all completely free to sign up for. Most of which you can literally begin doing today to start taking advantage of the free miles.

I genuinely use all of these and am a huge fan. For more travel tips, be sure to check out my other posts.

1. Online Shopping

Every major airline has their own eShopping portal that allows you to earn miles on almost all of your online purchases. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? That’s what I thought too, until I purchased one of my return flights from Chicago using all the points I earned! Also, I have installed the extension button on my laptop, making it super easy to activate.

The downside is that you’ll have to pick just one airline to stay loyal to and start racking up those points. Even better news though – the points earned on your purchases count towards your loyalty tier, helping you earn miles faster and faster. Still skeptical? Take a look for yourself; I’ve linked all the participating airlines I could find:

Don’t see your favorite airline on the list? Google it – I bet they have their own program as well!

2. Take Surveys

Taking surveys is the only option here that is truly 100% free, as all you are spending is your time. Again, I believe most major airlines have their own sites, so make sure you pick and stick! (Pick your loyalty airline…and stick with it!)

I have not done this in a long, long time, but used to do some surveys for Southwest Airlines years ago. From what I can remember, it worked pretty well and you can definitely do this in your free time to accumulate enough for a free flight. Again, I’ve linked all the participating airlines I could find:

3. Other Loyalty Programs for Airline Miles

Each airline has a few different companies they partner with that allow you to link your accounts to earn additional miles. I’m currently enrolled in the Delta x Lyft offer, which gives me SkyMiles every time I take a Lyft somewhere. It’s now just automatically linked, so doesn’t require any extra effort on my end. They’ve also been partnered with Starbucks for a long time, which is great news for all my coffee-lovers out there!

These seem to always be changing, or adding new partners so I’ll just add the links for each and you can take a look! Also, as I was doing this, I actually stumbled across some excellent offers and signed up for new programs myself! BRB going to fill up with gas at Shell to get those American Airline points…

4. Delta x Airbnb

Okay now THIS I haven’t seen done for any other airlines yet, though I hope they are inspired and hop on this trend. Delta partnered up with Airbnb, so now you can earn miles on all of your Airbnb stays! Just log in through this link and continue to book your stay in that same session.

What I usually do is search for the listing I want, then once I’ve made my decision, use this link to book. Also, they will need to be new bookings, I don’t believe you can retroactively apply this to your past or current bookings.

On my way to go get those free airline miles!  To get weekly travel tips and more delivered straight to your inbox, make sure you sign up for my mailing list! Will be sure to keep you posted on any other ways to earn free miles, stay tuned.
